Principal’s Message January 2021

Dear Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy Families,

"Devote yourself to your community around you & devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."
~Mitch Albom

This year has been different than any school year in the history of our school and district. As your principal for the past two and a half years, it has been and will continue to be my sincere pleasure to work with our dedicated staff and community to help provide an excellent educational experience for our students. We are committed to ensuring that your children receive the best support to learn and grow.

My vision for Barrows is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.  We are dedicated to providing an integrated STEM experience, allowing students to acquire the tools they need to apply effective critical thinking skills to our rigorous curriculum.

Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play a part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make a positive difference. A strong partnership between home and school will foster greater success for our children.  We encourage parents to communicate with teachers and staff to forge a successful partnership.

We are excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a safe and productive learning environment. I encourage you to share your ideas, concerns, and questions. I wish your family, and especially your student, great success this school year.
