Uniforms

Shirts:

Kindergarten - Grade 4:
Students in kindergarten through grade 4 will wear long or short-sleeved, collared polo shirts. Color options will be blue, gray, or red. Shirts will have the school embroidered STEM logo.

Grade 5 - Grade 8:
Students in grades 5 through 8 will wear either long or short-sleeved, collared polo shirts in blue, red or gray OR long or short-sleeved button down oxfords. Oxfords will be tucked into pants. Shirts will have the school embroidered STEM logo.
*Students in grades 5 through 8 must purchase at least one red polo shirt (used for special events) and at least one button down oxford (for presentation purposes).

Sweatshirts/Sweaters:
Sweatshirts, sweaters and fleece jackets with the embroidered STEM logo are permitted in school. Hoodies or other non-logo outerwear will not be allowed during the school day.

Pants:
Students will wear khaki or navy blue, solid-colored pants. Jeans, jeggings, yoga-style and sweatpants are not allowed.

Skirts:
Girls will be allowed to wear khaki or navy blue skirts. The length should be appropriate (one inch above the knee or longer).

Shorts:
Students will be allowed to wear non-denim, non-mesh, and non-sweat pant material khaki or navy blue, solid-colored shorts. The length should be appropriate (two inches above the knee or longer).

Shoes:
Students must wear sneakers to school. Students may wear snow/rain boots to school, but must change into sneakers upon arrival.

Undershirts/T-Shirts:
If students choose to wear a short or long-sleeved shirt under their uniform, the shirt must be solid-colored white, gray, red, navy blue or black.

Accessories:
Accessories such as, but not limited to, suspenders, non-prescription eye wear, scarves, bandanas, chain wallets, etc. are not permitted.

Uniform:
No student will attend school without a uniform but no student will be denied school for the day because of a lack of uniform. Students who come to school out of uniform will be given a uniform for the day and the parent will be called by the classroom teacher to inform them of the issue. If a student is out of uniform a second time a parent meeting will be required and a compact warning will be issued. Any further violations will activate a compact hearing and possible compact probation as determined by the school administration.
